In this role, you'll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of our expansion efforts.Job Summary:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technology Team Manager to lead a team developing cutting-edge solutions for our data centers. The roles will suit individuals that have worked in data center development, engineering, commissioning or operational roles. Specifically, those with domain knowledge of electrical, mechanical, fire, security, network, and controls systems.This role will focus on plant and equipment products and systems development, identification, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) life-cycle analysis, specifications, selection, sustainability and deployment standards. The role will work closely with design, sustainability, testing and commissioning, and operations teams. Job Responsibilities:Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.Lead and manage a team of technologists specializing in plant, equipment and systems.Develop and maintain strategies, policies and standards for plant, equipment and systems selections and deployment.Oversee the identification, evaluation and introduction of new technologies and systems.Ensure Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is applied to plant and equipment selections. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into new and existing data center infrastructure.Monitor industry trends and advancement to identify innovation and improvement opportunities.Ensure plant and equipment selections meet in country regulations and industry standards.Oversight the programme to develop and maintain data center, plant, equipment and systems specifications and deployment standards.Prepare and present reports on technology investigations, benefits, challenges, etc.Ensure sustainability is integrated into all aspects.Develop working level relationships with leading technology suppliers.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience in managing technology teams, preferably in the data center industry.Professional certifications related to data center management or technologyMembership of relevant professional associations.Strong knowledge of data center plant and equipment, including HVAC, power systems, cooling and ELV technologies.Experience with sustainable and energy-efficient data center technologies.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership skills.Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
