We are looking for in Spain an:Business Development Manager m/w/d (Spain and Portugal) - packaging/label industryThe position focuses on opening up new business segments and developing existing ones. In close cooperation with the Sales Manager, the BDM will develop the strategy for winning new customers and partners. The goal is to expand the existing product portfolio through continuous market and competition analysis, the identification of future trends as well as actively establishing and expanding a network of top decision-makers in the relevant target industries.Responsibilities and taskso Identify new opportunities to grow the laminated and plastic tube business in Spaino Understand the key players in target organization that influence the purchasing decision and ensure visibility of EP’s capability and build trust and confidence with customer o Understanding the customer's requirements and the competitive landscape.o Providing feedback to the organization on capability gaps and changes in market requirementso Analytical capability to slice and dice market into target segments and to acquire significant share in target segmentso Identify opportunities to engage customer closer with EPL in order to create Win-Win situations and customer whow’so Show regular presence at targets in order to present innovation/samples, quotations and educating customer about capabilitieso Understand full customer potential and ensure EPL is invited to quote for the full businesso Provide customer link to customer service and project teamProfile:o Marketing or Engineering degree preferredo Professional experience and track record: o Previous sales experience in the flexible packaging/label industry recommendedo Professional experience as sales representativeo Advantage: sales experience in the primary packaging sector. No specific industry experience required.o Experience in matrix organizations and cooperation with global customers are an advantage.o Excellent communication and presentation skillso Ease in approaching new people and establishing relationshipo Technical expertise / understanding MS Office o Full command of written and spoken Spanish and Englisho Total availability to travel around Iberia.Great Opportunity:• You can expect a varied role in a strong company with flat hierarchies. • The opportunity to take advantage of career-oriented training measures is welcome and encouraged.
