The Fixed Connectivity market for Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN) is undergoing a major transition.
This shift is driven by digital transformation, accelerated cloud adoption (whether single cloud or multi-cloud networking (MCN)), and the demand for larger bandwidths.
It involves a mix of MPLS and Internet underlay access where needed, integrated Security at the Service Edge (SASE), and providing customers with visibility and observability tools.
These tools extend from network parameters to end-user experience (EuE) for applications hosted in private and public clouds through Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM) tools.
With the convergence of Network and Security components and the increasing customer demand to consume applications and services hosted in various environments (Cloud/On-Prem Data Center/SaaS/Web) that might be located across different regions; the complexity of technology integration increases, driving the need to build SDN products that align to customer business outcomes with a Vodafone Managed Services that focus on Enhancing Customer Experience.
As a Global Product Manager, for the SDN Managed Services and associated tools and capabilities; you will provide E2E global product lifecycle working closely with Vodafone SDN Global Product Managers, Vodafone SDN Local Product Managers across Vodafone Markets and sales channels, to ensure your product(s) are fully relevant and integrated into Vodafone Local Markets (Operating Companies) and other channels.
The role holder will have E2E accountability for their product area acting in the capacity as the ‘mini-CEO’ on a global scale.
With us you will...
- Help define, research and drive product strategy (~3-year horizon) in line with global business and commercial priorities - Accountability for the business commercials, P&L and revenue growth roadmap - Capture and translate customer needs into clear product capabilities and features or to optimise existing products - Focus on ‘total product design’ to ensure all end-to-end requirements are captured including quality, safety, regulatory and sustainability - Create, maintain and drive execution of global product roadmap, ensuring alignment with Local Product Managers and channels.
Ensuring local market and channel requirements are captured and integration, launch and go-to-market resources and budgets are planned and ring-fenced - Ensure visibility and alignment of global product roadmaps - Work on enhancing product models to enable automation and target CX - Oversee the agile product development phase to ensure necessary governance, funding and key deliverables are achieved on time and to quality, working with their respective Technology Product Lead - Acts as ‘chief publicist’ for their product to ensure all launch requirements are consistent, scalable and aligned through relevant teams (incl.
marketing, commercial, sales etc).
- Identify/work with product partners and determine how they will support the creation of new products - Own product costing strategy and reference pricing, establishing suitable product differentiation, value-add and execution strategies to underpin the product’s success - Manage all in-life and end-of-life requirements to optimise global product performance, capability and commercials, initiating resolving actions where necessary Work within Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework   It would be nice if you have...
- Knowledge of SDN technology (SDWAN-SDLAN-SASE-MCN) as well as IP-VPN, Internet, Cloud, managed service & professional service and observability tools as B2B telecommunication services - Requires particular focus on customers at a global level whilst appreciating any local nuances.
Able to manage and understand global customer trends - Natural ability to lead on behalf of their product on a global scale - Senior stakeholder management - Requires ability to manage P&L and commercials globally for their product - Emphasis on resolving conflicting requirements between local markets - Understand of MSPs and different propositions for different customer segments  - Engages local stakeholders regularly What's in it for you...
