JEFE DE OFICINA TÉCNICA DE DISEÑO ELÉCTRICO (FOTOVOLTAICA)- ELECTRICAL DESIGN TECHNICAL OFFICE MANAGER (PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT) FOR A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN THE USA

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for an Electrical Design Technical Office Manager to join our team for a Photovoltaic Plant project in Texas, United States. - Project: Photovoltaic Plant- Location: it will be primarily based in The Woodlands (the position may involve travel)- Estimated duration of the position: 1 year and a half - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.- Summary: design layouts and electrical specifications for design bid packages and to provide technical support to the preconstruction and construction team on the utility scale solar bids where company will be participating. Once a project is awarded, the Technical Office Manager will be the head of the engineering team who will oversee the detailed design to be prepared by an external engineering firm ensuring that the design complies with the conceptual design performed for the bid and also that the deliverables are submitted on time for not affecting the construction schedule. The engineering team will also provide support to the construction team during the execution of projects with the RFl's.- Responsibilities:Understand every design solution for a solar installation: ground mounted, tracker or fixed structures, BESS, etc.Interface with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design requirements are met.Identify and manage the new technologies from vendors, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, etc., to identify key trends in the industry and implement them on new opportunities.Communicate and coordinate with consultant engineers, suppliers, distributors, etc to identify key trends in the and construction teams to resolve engineering-related questions and issues concerning the solar design in the best interest of the projects.Ability to perform 10 % packages regarding engineering and construction drawings for solar PV projects.Provide timely communication and reliable support to filed personnel for all aspects of construction that relates to the drawings and construction information package.Perform periodic design compliance inspections on project sites- Shifts: Monday to Friday: 40 hours weekly.- Requirements:A minimum of 7 years of recent experience with engineering design of photovoltaic plants of >100 MW size. Experience in the coordination of design and construction of photovoltaic plants. Supervision of detailed design engineering during the construction phase.Bachelor's degree preferably in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar.
