The Sales Engineer will be responsible for a defined product range or segment and defined customer group for a scope of program(s) & project(s) for the application engineering (product development) related activities and commercial responsibilities within the defined framework.
Your Roles & Responsibilities Represent MAHLE at the dedicated customers for technical and commercial discussion and other important occasions.
Create and maintain a network for information and communication flow both from customer to MAHLE and vice versa.
Support, set up and review of actual project budgets, compare activities and results with previously established project budgets and take appropriate corrective measures in case of deviations in line with Program Manager and Product Manager.
Support & pursue new business opportunities by collecting information in early stage of the sourcing activities; generate sales opportunities for the dedicated product range or segment, research on sales feasibility of MSBS products for customer.
Responsibility of defining product requirements for a specific program and/or project(s) together with customer and in line with MAHLE internal requirements.
Responsibility of commercial discussions for a defined scope in agreement with the company's policy.
Manage product development activities within project team as (core) team member of program / project(s) in line with the company’s processes and guidelines.
Keep close contact and excellent collaboration with the MSBS & project teams and mutually address the challenges coming from the market and PDP-projects.
Define potential demand as well as technical trend and competitors analysis and forward the information internally.
Establish long term relationship to the customer and strengthen contact network within different customer’s organization, focusing on technical product development functions in order to be considered a strategic supplier of high technical competency.
Act as Project Manager for PDP-projects with “normal complexity” if designated to this role.
Effective and well-structured communication process with all stakeholders.
Synchronization and coordination with other company projects and departments.
Collaboration and participation on the preparation of the project documentation.
Being a pro-active team member.
Generation of new ideas, motivate and support the team, keep the focus, etc.
Being a selfless person who did not hesitate to roll up his/her sleeves and work on the project.
Reporting and escalation to senior management.
Bike industry preference.
Represent MAHLE at the dedicated customers for technical and commercial discussion and other important occasions.
Create and maintain a network for information and communication flow both from customer to MAHLE and vice versa.
Customer Oriented.
Your Skills & Strengths Bsc degree in Engineering.
Min 5 years proven work experience as a Sales Engineer r or similar senior engineer role.
Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
Understanding of the bike and automotive industry.
e-mobility would be a plus.
English C1.
Fluent in Spanish.
Negotiation skills qualification.
Natural leader of people to drive and deliver sales targets.
Able to prioritize workload for self and direct reports in order to maximize profit.
Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
Comfortable with reporting updates.
Easy to stablish collaborative relationships (internal and external).
Availability to travel is needed.
Well organized.
