🚢 Join Our Team at Boluda Towage! 🌍With a rich history dating back to 1837, Boluda Towage has evolved into a leader in global maritime services, operating across Europe, the west coast of Africa, Cape Verde, the Indian Ocean, and Latin America.We are on the lookout for a New Building Manager to join our dynamic team!✨ Key Responsibilities:🔹 Collaboration: Work with our Technical Team to define requirements and specifications for new constructions, aligning with operational needs, industry standards, and regulations.🔹 Contract Management: Participate in drafting and reviewing contracts with shipyards and contractors, ensuring favorable terms for the shipowner.🔹 Construction Supervision: Oversee the construction process to ensure quality standards, timelines, and budgets are met.🔹 Quality Assurance: Implement robust systems to guarantee construction quality, ensuring the vessel meets safety and performance standards.🔹 Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with various departments such as maritime operations, finance, and logistics to seamlessly integrate new constructions.🔹 Communication with Shipyards: Maintain open lines of communication with shipyards and suppliers to address issues, design changes, or modifications during construction.🔹 Risk Management: Identify and manage risks in shipbuilding, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential negative impacts.🔹 Delivery and Acceptance: Coordinate the delivery process, ensuring all contractual conditions are met and the vessel is operationally ready.📋 Job Requirements:🔸 Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of naval engineering, ship design, and construction regulations.🔸 Project Management: Proven experience in project management, capable of overseeing multiple aspects while adhering to deadlines and budgets.🔸 Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiating contracts and favorable terms with shipyards and contractors.🔸 Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and keep stakeholders informed.🔸 Problem Solving: Strong ability to tackle challenges and issues that arise during the construction process.🔸 Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Technical Superintendent or Vessel Manager in the maritime sector.🌎 Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel for business, up to 80% of your time.🔑 Employment Conditions: This is a full-time position based in our Head Office, which may require global travel.If you are passionate about maritime innovation and looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity, we want to hear from you!🌟 Apply now and be part of our legacy! 🌊
