PAYROLL SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION MANAGER

Job Title: Payroll System Implementation Manager Location: Remote Salary: €60-90,000Contract: 6 monthsTo be considered for this position, you must be available to start within one weeks notice.We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll System Implementation Manager to lead and manage the onboarding of clients onto the payroll platform. This role is key to ensuring that clients experience a smooth and successful payroll implementation across multiple regions. The right candidate will bring extensive knowledge of payroll processes, global compliance, and project management, working closely with both internal teams and clients to guarantee a seamless transition.As the Payroll System Implementation Manager, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end implementation process, from setting up project plans and client meetings to overseeing payroll system configurations and data migrations. You will manage several projects at once, ensuring that all payroll requirements are met, timelines are adhered to, and compliance with international payroll regulations is maintained. The role involves liaising directly with clients, handling their needs professionally, and ensuring that they are supported throughout the onboarding process.Responsibilities:Organise and run kick-off meetings with clients and the onboarding team. Create and maintain detailed project plans to ensure timely delivery of global payroll solutions across multiple countries.Serve as the main point of contact for clients, coordinating project activities, managing changes in scope, and facilitating regular review calls to ensure smooth progress. Handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.Define and implement payroll processes that align with each client's unique requirements, ensuring all payroll calendars and data management tasks are handled effectively.Set up system configurations, reports, and interfaces needed for successful payroll delivery. Oversee testing phases, including parallel payroll runs, to ensure accuracy before going live.Manage the go-live process, ensuring sign-off from the client, and produce comprehensive documentation detailing the payroll processes and client-specific requirements.Ensure payroll operations comply with local and international tax and labour laws, staying informed of regulatory changes.Oversee the secure migration of payroll data from legacy systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity. Generate reports to reconcile payroll data and audit financials.Provide regular updates to clients and senior leadership, ensuring all risks, actions, and dependencies are effectively communicated. Escalate issues when necessary to maintain project momentum.Develop and execute change management strategies to ease transitions for employees and HR teams during the implementation of the global payroll system.What We’re Looking For:Minimum 2 years of experience managing global payroll implementations and 4 years running payroll processes.Strong understanding of international payroll regulations and processes across multiple countries.Familiarity with various payroll systems and a track record of configuring, testing, and deploying these systems successfully.Experience managing complex, client-facing projects from inception through completion. PMP or similar project management certification is an advantage.Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex payroll systems and processes clearly to clients.Strong problem-solving abilities, with an eye for detail and a methodical approach to project management.Ability to work well under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and adapt to changing client needs.If you are a payroll expert with strong project management skills and a passion for global compliance, we’d love to hear from you.
