PLATFORM ARCHITECT / SOLUTION ARCHITECT (F/M/D)

Siemens Defense Platform is a team responsible for evolving and maintaining the Detect and respond solutions used by our worldwide Cyber team, relying on experience from more than a decade of operating in our industrial environment.
Based on that knowledge and the latest technological trends, cyber provides useful and actionable information in a timely manner to multiple stakeholders on worldwide Cyber team to support in the tactical, operational, and strategical decision making.
Our candidate should have experience in multi-cloud architecture and on-premises systems, with an understanding of cloud networking, security, and disaster recovery.
Responsibilities include designing cloud and hybrid solutions, managing complex applications, and ensuring security and scalability.  As Cyber Platform Architect / Solution Architect (f/m/d) you will.
Design and architect comprehensive solutions across AWS, Azure, and on-premises environments to meet business requirements.
Develop multi-cloud strategies, including deployment, management, and security across hybrid platforms.
Provide guidance to the technical leadership on cloud and on-premises projects, including design, prototyping.
Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, lead the ADR(Architecture Decision Recorder) and best practice guidelines Grant that the Application portfolio management is properly maintained including application dependencies, application lifecycle, security compliance check, etc.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into architectural solutions, and guide project delivery.
Lead and mentor a team of developers, engineers, ensuring alignment with Enterprise architect principles and Siemens governance and best practices.
Promote and identify simple and reusable solutions.
(building blocks) Evaluate and recommend new technologies, services, and platforms to enhance architecture.
Ensure solutions comply with security, scalability, and disaster recovery requirements, particularly in multi-cloud and on-premises environments.
  To make a difference, you bring:.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solution Architect with a strong background in multi-cloud and on-premises architecture (AWS, Azure).
Proven expertise in designing and managing complex applications on multi-cloud platforms and on-premises environments.
Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, disaster recovery, and high availability.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM Templates.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization, and microservices architecture.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and strategic approach.
Knowledge or experience in some of the following areas is a plus.
Cloud certifications (e.
., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified.
Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
Architect certificates like TOGAF, SABSA, CCSK.
