PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGERYou will be a key driver of technical expertise, and responsible for the industrialization process of the new developments.Responsible for leading product development and procurement support within the quality team.The roleThe main functions related to the role will be:Lead product and application development projects focusing on maximizing the capacity of our production plantPerform the necessary lab and industrial test to ensure the new product fulfils the expectations and usability needs including transport processCreate, update and maintain the product technical data sheetsServe as the primary technical expert for our products, ensuring compliance with food regulations, not only for the products made on site but products made by third partiesWork together with the procurement department ensuring that the new alternatives for our products follow quality and food safety requirementsEnsure the homologation process for new products/ packaging materialsCollaborate with the business and marketing teams to create unique value propositions for the company’s productsIdentify and drive transformative innovation projects with sustainable mindsetEnsure compliance with GFSI standards and other regulatory requirements related to the development and commercialization of our productsLeadership and manage various projects in a fast-paced, results-oriented environmentKnowledge and experience of Food Safety audits will be a plusSkillsStrong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Entrepreneurship, Mentorship, Collaboration, Approachable, Confidentiality.Ability to build relationships.ProfileMaster’s Degree in Chemistry or Food Science is needed.5 years of experience in managing innovation in an industrial food manufacturer.Strong knowledge of chemistry and microbiology, specifically in the development and industrialization process.Experience in food industries, with a focus on product formulation and shelf-life enhancement.Proven track record of solving complex technical problems and continuous improvement.Ability to travel.
