Lead Product Manager - Data TransformationThe client is seeking a Product Manager - Data Transformation to work alongside the data transformation and business intelligence team. This role is critical for driving the development and execution of data strategies within an insurance environment, managing the team responsible for transforming data operations and delivering insights to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing data products, engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and ensuring successful delivery aligned with the insurance industry’s regulatory and business needs.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership:Lead the data transformation and business intelligence team, ensuring alignment with the product vision and contributing to the successful delivery of data transformation initiatives.Product Vision and Strategy:Develop a clear and compelling product vision and strategy for data transformation within the insurance sector, ensuring it aligns with company goals, industry regulations, and user needs.Objective Setting:Define, own, and track ambitious but realistic long-term and short-term product objectives. Ensure these goals support the company’s insurance-related data transformation and business intelligence initiatives.Roadmap Creation and Maintenance:Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines the product’s development priorities and sequencing, ensuring that it supports both business and regulatory compliance in the insurance industry.Product Ownership:Own and prioritise the product backlog, translating business objectives into actionable features. Provide clear direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring the technical and regulatory requirements of the insurance industry are met.Agile Delivery and Stakeholder Management:Actively participate in agile processes, working closely with the data team, business intelligence, and stakeholders. Balance product demands by considering both technical and business requirements in the insurance sector. Collaborate with various business areas, including underwriting, claims, and finance.Compliance and Technical Alignment:Ensure the product adheres to the insurance industry’s strict regulatory requirements, including security, data governance, and architectural standards. Collaborate with IT and legal teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.Data-Driven Product Improvements:Use data analytics, user research, and industry trends to continually identify opportunities for product improvements. Ensure that data transformation initiatives deliver real business value and support decision-making processes.Change Management and Product Delivery:Support the release of new data transformation products, ensuring they are effectively communicated and adopted by users. Manage the delivery process to ensure it meets user expectations and regulatory requirements.Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience in product management, particularly within the insurance sector and data transformation initiatives.Strong understanding of data transformation, business intelligence, and analytics in the insurance industry.Experience leading and managing a cross-functional team focused on data and business intelligence.Experience working in an agile environment and managing product roadmaps for data initiatives.Familiarity with insurance regulations, data governance, and security standards.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly in balancing technical and business needs in an insurance context.This role is an exciting opportunity to lead transformative data initiatives in the insurance industry.
