Our Buying & Logistics Director will be based in Barcelona. Job description:Strategic Planning: Develop and execute procurement and logistics strategies aligned with business goals and market trends, while analyzing conditions to forecast future trends and identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.Supplier and Logistics Management: Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts for cost-effective deals, and oversee product selection to meet quality standards and market trends. Conduct market research, evaluate supplier performance, ensure compliance with regulations, and monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize excessCost Management: Oversee procurement and logistics budgets, track spending for cost reduction opportunities, and develop strategies to mitigate risks from price volatility, supply chain disruptions, and logistics challengesTeam Leadership: Lead and mentor the procurement and logistics team, setting performance objectives, fostering collaboration, and promoting continuous improvement. Collaborate with marketing, product development, and sales to ensure alignment on product offerings and launches.Logistics Optimization: Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely delivery, optimize transportation routes and inventory management for cost efficiency, and implement logistics technologies and systems.Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present reports on procurement and logistics activities, using data analytics to improve processes. Develop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to track performance and savings. Requirements:Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement and logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the cosmetics or a related industry.Proven track record of strategic planning and successful implementation in procurement and logistics.Proficiency in market research, trend analysis, procurement, logistics software, and data analysis tools.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sharepoint and ability to manage budgets and financial plans.Fluent English and Spanish both written and verbal communications, knowledge of Korean is a plus.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
