REGIONAL MANAGER – ELECTRICITY (GERMANY & THE NETHERLANDS)

GT Linkers is supporting the search of the new Regional Manager of the German subsidiary of the Electricity Business Unit (with + professionals worldwide & proven global experience delivering large-scale, high-complexity projects along the entire value chain from Design, Project Development, Supply, Engineering, Procurement & Construction – EPC – to Operations & Maintenance – O&M – of Energy Infrastructure (including power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
High, Medium and Low Voltage lines) for public and private clients.
This BU is only one of the multiple business units of a global company with 80 years’ experience (45+ countries, + employees) in applied industrial engineering and specialised services (that belongs to an ever bigger, renowned international group).
Due to the growth of the business in the region, our client is looking for a hands-on Senior Project Manager / Branch Manager / Operations Manager to lead and to be the ultimate responsible for the management and economic results of the German & Dutch markets.
Key Responsibilities.
Project Management.
You will be responsible for overseeing operations, from initial development and planning to the delivery execution of complex Electrical projects in Germany & The Netherlands, ensuring that project objectives are met in terms of timelines, quality, budget, and safety standards.
Monitor and oversee projects, clients and sales proposals to boost customer satisfaction.
There are some O&M operations already running and an already signed Engineering contract to be started in May (both in the South of Germany.
in Baden-Württemberg area).
·        Identify risks, resolve conflicts, and make swift, data-driven decisions to keep projects on track while adhering to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
·        Monitor project performance, manage costs, and present progress and financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
·        Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Spain and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of sales activities.
Customer Satisfaction & Client Relationship & Operations.
You will be the one to develop Operations and to build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring alignment with project goals and client satisfaction (as the main liaison).
You will represent the company for external stakeholders.
Suppliers / Subcontractors, Clients, Partners & both Public & Private organizations in both Germany & The Netherlands.
We are looking for a multi-tasking, hands on professional, as you will be the one to approve and validate bids/tenders for the German branch (including also Dutch market), as well as purchases, etc.
Lead Business Development.
from market prospecting to client meetings, in order to secure new contracts and business growth.
Team Management.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (engineers, technicians, subcontractors), facilitating effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
There are currently 5 employees in their German branch, but new contracts are arising (meaning that they would need to strengthen the team with at least people (with an effective help and support from the HeadQuarters).
O will also be a key employee in the German subsidiary with a global, matrix organization (having internal relations with people under his charge, different corporate units, safety technicians, staff, Subsidiary Director, Division Manager and CEO.
Reporting.
As the ultimate responsible of the P&L, you will analyze, manage, and report the monthly closing for the branch.
You will be directly reporting to the Managing Director of the Electricity Division (Headquarters based in Spain).
Requirements.
·        Experience.
We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager / Construction Manager / Site Manager (with full P&L responsibilities with at least 7 years of extensive management experience -in both Engineering, Procurement & Construction and Operations & Maintenance-) in the Electrical sector (Transmission and Distribution Networks T&D, overhead, underground and submarine Lines or related projects) and knowledge of the German market (having worked in The Netherlands would be a plus).
Strong knowledge of HSE and industry-specific safety regulations ·        Team Management experience (growing the team from the current 5 to 30 FTEs) ·        Soft Skills.
We are looking for a high-potential Engineer (ideally specialized in Electrical Engineering / Electricity / Energy / Structural / Civil) with strong contract and project oversight responsibilities, technical focus and ability to emphasize client and business development aspects.
Proactive and hands-on professional, one of those who takes initiative and who is able to work with autonomy as well as lead boosting a collaborative environment.

Native / Bilingual German is essential.
C1 second language level is highly valued.
Dutch, Spanish or English.
Knowledge in German regulations, contracting practices, and energy standards will be essential (ideally with some experience in the Dutch market).
·        Willingness to travel within Germany & The Netherlands and to visit HQs in Spain on a regular basis.
