The Sourcing Planner is the main point of client and supplier contact from Meeting Request through proposal to contracting and payment.
Key areas of role include venue and destination knowledge, contract negotiation and budget management.
This is a temporary role with a 9 months contract.
What You'll Be Doing.
Review meeting request and conduct meeting qualification call with client Identify appropriate venues according to client/event needs Understand and utilize preferred suppliers' program Advise and guide the client about suitable options Inform about rejected venues (quality, availability… Maintain contact with suppliers and manage option dates Budget management of project Secure meeting owner approval on budget and terms & conditions of suppliers Negotiate supplier rates and conditions Ensure per project profitability through commission and fees Coordinate Inspection trip if needed and assistance if required What We'll Need from You.
Experience in hotel buying required (3 -4 years) Proven strong negotiation and communication skills Fluency in English and Spanish Knowledge of domestic hotels and destinations required, international knowledge is a benefit Online sourcing tool experience ie Cvent and Meeting Central would be beneficial Operations experience in hospitality industry or equivalent is a benefit Prior successful experience in developing and maintaining key client and supplier relationships Prior experience in effectively handle multiple projects/demands Strong knowledge of program/event management and budget maintenance Location Spain The #TeamGBT Experience Work and life.
