In this role, you'll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of our expansion efforts.Technology Manager for Electrical Products and SystemsPOSITION OVERVIEWGDS International (GDSI) stands at the forefront of data center technology, driving innovation and efficiency in plant and equipment selection. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technology Manager to join our Technology Team in developing cutting-edge solutions for our data centers. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in data center development, design, engineering, commissioning, or operations, particularly those with deep expertise in MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPSs, battery storage, SCADA, and EPMS.In this role, you will focus on the development and optimization of plant and equipment products and systems, conducting Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) life-cycle analysis, defining specifications, and establishing sustainability and deployment standards. Collaboration with design, sustainability, testing and commissioning, and operations teams is key to ensuring the success of our innovative data center solutions.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage technology strategies, focusing on plant and equipment systems development, TCO life-cycle analysis, and sustainability standards.Provide expert technical guidance to teams, promoting continuous learning and knowledge-sharing across the organization.Oversee the evaluation and integration of new technologies to improve data centre speed-to-market, performance, and energy efficiency.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in design, sustainability, testing, and commissioning to ensure smooth deployment and integration of new systems.Ensure that all plant and equipment selections comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.Stay ahead of industry advancements, identifying opportunities for innovation in data centre technologies.Build and maintain strategic relationships with leading technology suppliers.Prepare and present comprehensive reports on technology investigations, including benefits, challenges, and recommendations.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in relevant areas are highly desirable.Above 10 years of experience in mission-critical environments, including roles focused on development, design, engineering, commissioning, or operations within data centers.Strong domain knowledge of MV/LV distribution, transformers, switchgear, generators, UPSs, battery storage, SCADA, and EPMS, with a proven track record of implementing innovative solutions.Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, combined with excellent leadership and communication skills.Certifications in data centre management or technology-related fields are a plus.A commitment to sustainability and experience with energy-efficient technologies in data centre environmentWhy Join Us?At GDS International, we are dedicated to fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
