Customer focus, closeness and satisfaction are critical for a business that is based on a solid reputation, encouraging social responsibility and action.Key Responsibilities:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development and Operations Manager to oversee and drive the growth of our Marine and Commodities Inspection business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to expand our market presence, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure exceptional service delivery to our clients. The selected candidate will lead sales initiatives, manage client relationships, and ensure efficient execution of inspection services.Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including industry association, and clients, to enhance business development prospects.Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, and utilize findings to develop targeted business strategies.Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and client engagement initiatives to increase brand awareness and attract potential clients.Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and operational best practices.Implement and monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction levels, and take corrective actions as needed.Collaborate with internal departments, as needed.Develop and implement training programs and initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of operational staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback and coaching, and recognize and reward high performers to motivate team members and drive productivity.Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing to maximize synergies and achieve common goals across business development, operations, and other functional areas.Develop and execute strategic plans, budgets, and forecasts, in alignment with corporate objectives and growth targets.Prepare regular reports, presentations, and dashboards to provide senior management with insights into business performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development and operational initiatives and recommend adjustments and enhancements to optimize outcomes.Qualifications/experience:We expect that you take a significant role within our organisation and are excited for the opportunity of counting on your outstanding skills and qualifications such as:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Marine Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in business development, operations management, or a similar role, preferably in Marine and Commodities Inspections.Proven track record of successfully driving business growth, expanding market share, and achieving revenue targets.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and market dynamics related to Marine and Commodities Inspections.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and collaborate effectively across functions and levels.Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity.Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools is a plus.Willingness to travel as needed.Applus+ is an equal opportunity employer.
