COMMODITY MANAGER (F\/M\/D) PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT (CAPEX)

A Snapshot of Your Day    As a Commodity Manager (f/m/d) your daily tasks will include managing the cost-effective supply of Production Equipment (CAPEX) in line with company processes based on business requirements.
You will collaborate with colleagues from all Siemens Energy Business Areas as well as other collaborators around the globe.
With your experience you will play a vital role in developing commodity strategies for sourcing that meet business objectives and ensure the implementation.
As part of the broader Indirect Material organization, you will be embedded in our divers and energized team.
This role will be limited for 12 months.
How You’ll Make an Impact  Ensure strategic purchasing for CAPEX investments within Production Equipment Negotiate pricing and contracts (establishing and implementing innovative negotiation strategies) and act as a contact for claim management Organize and carry out global pooling of requirements, different areas, sites and projects in order to use the purchasing power of the commodity as a whole Proactive optimization of the entire cross-functional investment process as well as help to shape and roll out investment strategies within the entire global organization Proactive analysis of requirements and markets as well as setting up a strong supplier portfolio, define concepts to include purchasing at an early stage and take the lead in creating lifecycle cost analyses Facilitate knowledge transfers and contribute to the development of a collaborative team environment Prepare and control specific information, data and figures across divisions What You Bring Successfully completed studies in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a commercial program of study with corresponding technical knowledge Many years of professional experience in purchasing as well as cross-functional experience gained through project deployment in an adjacent functional area Excellent knowledge of production machinery purchasing and its processes, combined with very good commercial, contract law and manufacturing technology knowledge as well as familiarity with MS Office and SAP Very good spoken and written English and German, other languages are a plus Intercultural sensitivity, ideally experience abroad Creative, assertive, analytical and motivational attitude driven by customer orientation with strong negotiating and decision-making skills and the ability to build networks  About the Team   In our Business Functions we enable our organization to reach their targets by providing best-in class services and solutions in the areas of IT, HR, Finance, Real Estate, Strategy & Technology and more.
