WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Executive Director for CIB PPT IT, you will be responsible for Application Development, manages and develops a team of Application Developers in the development, testing and support of application software.
Analyzes, evaluates and proposes IT systems and solutions to enhance the value of the business, reduce cost or otherwise provide a competitive advantage.
Researches, procures and implements cutting edge software and hardware solutions to meet the evolving needs of Santander.
Designs, analyzes and supports the company's information technology structure, systems and processes.
Acquires, designs, implements and operates the company's information technology resources (e.
., computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications, data, databases, etc.).
Deploys, acquires, maintains and ensures security of information technology assets.
Plans and tests processes to ensure compliance with system requirements, business objectives, security standards and other technical requirements.
Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and updating electronic data systems in accordance with the needs of the company.
Activities include evaluating, scheduling and resourcing development projects, investigating user needs, writing, testing and maintaining computer programs, and preparing systems documentation.
Executes technical plans, system analysis, detailed design specifications, development, unit and component testing.

Owns the workflow, budget, staff, output and overall standards and procedures of the Application Development group.
Guides and shares subject matter expertise with team members to participate in performing procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized software development tools, technology and development methodologies.
Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards for the Application Development unit.
Executes on continuous improvement of the existing software applications and architecture.
Ensures teams delivery quality code that is on time, on scope, and on budget.
Manages the client technology relationship, including expectations and customer satisfaction.
Balances areas' supply and demand by monitoring project requests, problem reports, resource allocations and ongoing progress towards stated goals.
Partner with business to plan and execute development projects, ensures that teams have appropriate products and technical specifications, direction and resources to deliver projects on a bold, but achievable timeline.
Directs, manages and delivers application development projects through the application of comprehensive software development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Promotes reviews of external and internal environment and identification of issues or concerns related to potential gaps in existing processes, procedures, policies, frameworks, etc.

Translates and relays corporate direction on key application development metrics and objectives for department.
Coaches and develops staff to enhance functional leadership skills and expertise.
Communicates and conducts briefings with senior leadership regarding ongoing software development operations and initiatives.

EXPERIENCE ; Years Software Development or similar field Req.
EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent field.
