We are looking for a skilled and experienced MS SQL Database Administrator to join our team in Pune.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining SQL Server databases, with a proven track record of ensuring database performance, availability, and security.
Key Responsibilities.
Database Administration.
Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.
Perform database backups, restores, and recovery procedures.
Monitor and optimize database performance, including query tuning and index management.
Implement and maintain database security policies to protect sensitive data.
Manage database storage, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Database Maintenance.
Perform regular database maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and upgrades.
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place.
Conduct database audits and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Support and Troubleshooting.
Provide technical support for database-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance and connectivity issues.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database performance and support application development.
Must have professional/technical qualification Qualifications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6-8 years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Proficiency in T-SQL and experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
Experience with backup and recovery procedures, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Certifications.
Microsoft Certified.
Azure Database Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified.
