r What You"ll Do.
We are looking for a Design Practices Manager to lead the strategic alignment, enablement, and growth of design practices across the organization.
As a key advocate for design excellence, you will ensure that design principles, processes, and tools are effectively integrated into workflows, enabling teams to deliver consistent, impactful, and scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
This role focuses on creating organizational alignment, driving education, and embedding design practices into broader strategic initiatives such as the Digital Factory program.
You will lead a talented team of designers and ensure their contributions align with both internal business needs and client-facing objectives.
By balancing strategy with hands-on leadership, you’ll enable the team to excel and deliver high-value, user-centered solutions.
Key Responsibilities Advocacy and Leadership.
Act as the primary advocate for design practices, championing their importance in driving business value and user-centered outcomes.
Develop and implement an annual roadmap for design excellence, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Lead workshops, presentations, and training sessions to promote awareness and adoption of design best practices across teams.
Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to foster collaboration and alignment around design initiatives.
Strategic Alignment.
Align design practices with the company’s business goals and the objectives of the Digital Factory initiative.
Collaborate with leadership to embed design workflows into strategic projects, ensuring scalability and impact.
Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to streamline design processes and enhance outcomes.
Develop a roadmap for evolving design practices to meet the organization’s long-term needs and challenges.
Team Leadership.
Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, ensuring they contribute effectively to both internal and client-facing projects.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that supports innovation and continuous improvement.
Provide guidance to team members on aligning their work with business and user goals, while supporting their professional growth.
Training and Enablement.
Deliver ongoing education and support to design and development teams, ensuring consistent application of design principles and methodologies.
Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and resources to enable teams to work more effectively and independently.
Advocate for and implement user-centered design processes across the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration.
Partner with product managers, marketing teams, and technical teams to ensure alignment and consistency in design implementation.
Act as the bridge between creative and technical teams, ensuring seamless execution of design strategies.
Collaborate with research teams to incorporate user insights into design processes and improve outcomes.
Performance Monitoring and Feedback.
Define and track key metrics to measure the success and impact of design initiatives.
Establish feedback loops to continuously improve design practices based on organizational and user needs.
Regularly review and assess the performance of the design team, projects, and processes to identify opportunities for optimization.
Who You Are.
Experience Proven experience in design leadership, design operations, or managing cross-functional design practices.
Expertise in aligning design initiatives with broader business objectives and digital transformation strategies.
Strategic Expertise Familiarity with embedding design methodologies into organizational processes to drive scalability and consistency.
Leadership Skills Demonstrated success in mentoring and managing teams of designers or creative professionals.
Strong advocacy and communication skills to inspire and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Design Expertise Solid understanding of design principles, UI/UX/Content best practices, and user-centered methodologies.
Tools and Communication Proficiency in leveraging design tools and technologies to optimize workflows and enablement.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for presenting ideas and aligning diverse teams.
Problem-Solving Ability to identify challenges proactively and implement innovative solutions to drive business and user impact.
Education Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
