As a member of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), Vacway is dedicated to innovation and excellence.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Engineering & Supply Chain Manager at Vacway in Barcelona. The role involves overseeing demand planning, supply management, inventory management, and procurement activities. Responsibilities include coordinating engineering and supply chain operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient and cost-effective supply chain management. The Engineering Manager will be a key member of the Vacway team, reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Chief Exectutive Officer (CEO).Main responsibilitiesLead, plan, and ensure the execution of all engineering activities, from prototyping to serial production.Maintain and improve product DFMEAs.Implement and oversee the Design Changes Strategy, including: -New product development -Cost reduction initiatives -Corrective actions with cost containment focusDrive the outsourcing strategy in collaboration with partners.Manage all procurement activities effectively.Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.Identify new opportunities to achieve cost targets across all products.Ensure the production plan is executed seamlessly.Establish and manage supplier quality control processes.Define the new logistics area and implement stock management systems (SAP).Act as the technical focal point to support the Projects team.Oversee the Supply Chain & Engineering budget by: -Establishing a baseline budget -Reporting monthly performance against the baselineQualificationsMaster's degree in Industrial Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical/electrical product developmentStrong technical background.Proven ability to lead and inspire high-performing engineering teams.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
