FINANCIAL PLANNING MANAGER (OPERATIONS)

Our teams cover the entire value chain of clean energy projects starting with sourcing sites, through full permitting, procurement, project finance, power offtake, construction oversight and ultimately operating the assets and managing market risk. Growing from our roots as an investment manager, Aquila Clean Energy EMEA today is a fully fledged independent power producer with a strategic focus on solar PV, onshore wind and battery storage across our core European markets.For our office in Madrid we are looking for an Financial Planning Manager (operations).Your responsibilities: Finance:Financial planning of projects: management of treasury forecast, monitoring business plan. Analyse deviations, their root causes and provide action plans to mitigate them.Manage Projects Financials throughout the Development, Construction and closing stages.Support the projects management from Investment stage to handover, ensure the alignment and coordination of all the involved areas (Investment, Development, Construction and Asset Management).Perform ad-hoc business analysis and financial modelling.Closely collaborate with Corporate Financial area in payments approval, closings, pipeline, audits, budgeting, forecasting, etc.Participate in the projects financing (relationships with banks, term sheets review, due diligences, etc.) and Headquarters calls.Support projects due diligences, audits, and investor reports.Operations and Reporting:Contract and project management to ensure projects are delivered according to terms.Prepare the correspondent projects reports from the financial perspective.Collaborate with the Legal and Investment Management on corporate agreements and negotiations.Provide recommendations to improve the projects progress and procedures.Your qualifications:Degree in Business Administration or Engineering with Financial acumen.8-10 years experience in Finance/Financial Planning/Business Development – ideally in a multinational utility and/or the Renewable Energy industry.Strong analytical skills. Accounting and Project Finance experience is a plus.Proficiency in MS Office – specially Excel – is required.
