The Grand River plant is unique in that it has a wide and diverse product and customer base, manufacturing PTFE tube stainless steel braided hose for the automotive, industrial and commercial vehicle markets.
Health, Safety and Environmental also reports into this tole at this facilty.
If you are a Quality Manager who looks to continuously improve upon a robust Quality Management System, have an affinity to develop a strong team of Quality Engineers and Technicians, and strives to constantly raise the bar for quality standards, 5S, and health, safety and environmental aspects, this role would be a natural fit Responsibilities Reporting to the Plant Manager, with a strong matrix reporting line to the Director of Global Quality & CI, you will drive the Quality and HSE functions in a fast-paced, 7-day a week high volume manufacturing plant.
With a goal of being "Second To None", the role offers endless opportunities to deliver best in class quality performance, cost improvement, risk mitigation and compliance with ISO and IATF standards.
This is an interactive role, forming strong partnerships with production, engineering, shipping and receiving and more.
External partners include Customers and Suppliers, as well as service vendors.
As part of the senior leadership team of the plant, the Quality Manager works closely with the Plant Manager to develop and deliver quality objectives, HSE goals and continuous improvement projects.
Requirements Demonstrated success in manufacturing within a global automotive and industrial context Bachelor's degree in a related field 5+ years of experience as a Quality Manager within the automotive sector Hands-on experience with IATF , ISO , ISO Experience with delivering a high quality QMS Efficient, proactive, hands-on team approach Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills Risk management approach What we offer If this role sounds like your next opportunity, we offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including a wide array of voluntary benefits in addition to a robust medical/dental/vision/STD/LTD and life insurance.
