Lugar Barcelona, Campus Mar WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ISGlobal is seeking a Senior Project Manager.
The candidate will work on the H project ‘Advancing Tools for the Human Early Lifecourse Exposure Research and Translation (ATHLETE)’.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon research and innovation programme under grant agreement No .
The project will build an integrated tested strategy to detect endocrine disruptor related metabolic disorders by developing, improving and validating a battery of test systems.
ATHLETE will establish a prospective exposome cohort, including FAIR data infrastructure, building on Europe’s most comprehensive already existing exposome data (18 cohorts in 12 European countries).
ATHLETE will systematically characterise the effects of the exposome on early organ development, health trajectories, and biological pathways (metagenomic, metabolomic, epigenetic, ageing, and stress pathways), longitudinally from early pregnancy through adolescence.
The project is coordinated by ISGlobal and will be conducted in the ISGlobal-Campus Mar in the Childhood and Environment programme.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of all activities, communications with the partners and within the ISGlobal team and also for external communications with the funders.
He/She will be responsible for producing the scientific and financial annual and final reports TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE /QUALIFICATIONS The following attributes will be considered during the evaluation process.
Educational Background.
A degree in healthcare management, social sciences, public health, psychology, or a related field.
A postgraduate qualification or certification is advantageous.
Experience in managing European Union-funded research projects (FP7, H, HE) Project Management Skills.
Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating projects, including developing timelines, managing resources, and ensuring delivery of project milestones.
Stakeholder Engagement.
Proven ability to engage and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including funding agencies, researchers, NGOs, etc.
Ability to establish and maintain a good working relationship with people of different national and cultural backgrounds.
Excellent computer skills.
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail management software, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Project execution & monitoring Ensuring that project activities are implemented according to project objectives and timelines Monitoring the project progress and ensure timely decision making Monitoring the adherence to the applicable guidelines, legal frameworks, written procedures and agreements with the funder and within the consortium Ensuring a proper filing of all project related documents Management of the partners Preparation and coordination of meetings (Project Team, partners, contributing experts) Follow up on action items within the team and with partners Assist coordinator and partners in preparation and submission of scientific and financial reports Team and line management Organizing team meetings and training, if applicable Delegating specific tasks and responsibilities to the project staff Communications, partnerships and reporting Reporting on project to funding bodies and the Principal Investigator Ensuring timely reporting and appropriate dissemination internally and to stakeholders and project partners Serving as focal point for internal and external communication, maintaining contacts with funders, stakeholders, providers, etc.
Organizing and documenting regular project meetings (teleconferences and face-to-face), including developing agenda, minutes and action items Coordinating with advocacy teams in the institution and the consortium Coordinating with communication partners and department within the institution, and ensure communication and dissemination at technical level Driving internal synergies with other projects within the institution and funding cluster Budget accountability and financial reporting Overseeing budget management and procurement Overseeing /assessing the Principal Investigator on spending such that resources are available for project activities Identifying critical issues and budget needs Assuring appropriate and timely allocation of resources necessary to achieve objectives Developing or supporting development of financial reports, with special attention on financial justification of activities done for all consortium members Regular follow up of budget with ISGlobal financial officer, contribute to financial reporting Follow up with partners on implementation of actions and budget Project closing & evaluation Promoting the timely finalization of all activities across all of the process groups to formally close the project or a project phase Closing each contract applicable to the project or project phase Ensuring the financial closing of the project budget and account Enabling the formal acceptance of the project by presenting timely and accurate final reports and agreed deliverables Ensuring the administrative closing by archiving of the files Collaborating with the dissemination of results and outcomes AUXILIAR TASK This job description reflects the present requirements of the post but may evolve at any time in the future as duties and responsibilities change and/or develop providing there is appropriate consultation with the post-holder.
