SPACE OPERATIONS SATELLITE MANAGER

Senior Space Satellite Operations EngineerJoin our team and build the furure of space technology We're expanding our team at Alén Space, and we are looking for a Space Satellite Operations manager; with passion on what you do, talented and with experience; to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology. You will be part of a great team and will be involved in the design, preparation and execution of operations of our satellites and payloads. This will include working with small satellites and payloads, the preparation of procedures and telecommand batches, planning of operations, telemetry analysis… Specially in this team you will also work closely with the on-board and mission control software teams to specify user and operational requirements and to participate in the software and system-level test campaigns. What you will be doing?Ongoing monitoring and operations planning of in-orbit LEO satellites and payloads. Design and preparation of operations for different missions. Preparation of procedures and sequences for our satellite platforms and payloads.Analysis of telemetry to monitor the health of constellations, satellites, payloads… Preparation and execution of LEOP and Commissioning campaigns. Preparation and execution of routinary and contingency operations. Support to the final on-ground testing of the satellites. Collaborate with the software team in developing and testing of new tools. Evolution of the satellite operation manuals and procedures. Collaborate with the system engineering team for new missions design and evolution of the satellite platforms. Interact with customers and other stakeholders like launch providers, ground station networks … What Do We Need In Our Team5 years of experience in the role of Operations Engineer. Knowledge of common spacecraft architecture and subsystems. Knowledge of STK.Experience with Python or other scripting languages. Calm under pressure (real-time/console operations). Methodical and comfortable following procedures.
