OPERATIONS MAINTENANCE MANAGER

O&M Manager Leon - Spain Hybrid €45,000 - €50,000Private CarAs the O&M Manager for utility-scale photovoltaic systems, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of multiple solar power plants. You will manage the technical and operational teams, ensuring optimal performance of the assets while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the long-term viability and performance of our solar plants, contributing to the overall success of our renewable energy portfolio.Key Responsibilities:Operations Oversight: Oversee the efficient operation of utility-scale solar power plants, ensuring systems are operating at peak performance levels.Maintenance Management: Develop and implement preventative and corrective maintenance plans to maximize system uptime, reliability, and lifespan.Team Leadership: Lead and manage the O&M team, including technicians, engineers, and subcontractors, fostering a safety-first culture and continuous professional development.Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Use SCADA systems and performance monitoring tools to track plant performance, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions. Prepare and submit regular performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.Budget & Cost Management: Develop and manage O&M budgets, track expenditures, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or system performance.Compliance & Safety: Ensure all operations and maintenance activities are compliant with regulatory requirements, environmental policies, and safety standards. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate with external vendors for major system repairs and replacements. Resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors, ensuring contracts are fulfilled, performance standards are met, and costs are controlled.Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices for maintenance, asset management, and performance optimization. Stay up-to-date with emerging solar technologies and industry trends.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. PMP, NABCEP, or other relevant certifications a plus.Experience:At least 5 years of experience in operations and maintenance of utility-scale photovoltaic systems.Strong technical background with hands-on experience in solar energy systems, including inverters, solar panels, and electrical systems.Proven experience in managing teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
